Easter from £106 per person
Spring Bank from £71  per person

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2026! We’re delighted to bring you the latest news from around Broadland, along with special deals, and insights into current booking trends. Bookings for 2026 have been open for some time and there’s still plenty of availability, apart from weekends that coincide with public holidays, which are proving especially popular. The boating season officially gets underway on the weekend of 7th February, perfectly timed for the February Half Term. So if you’re dreaming of a Norfolk Broads escape, now is a great time to plan one. Availability for this date—or any other start date—can be checked easily using the blue booking tool below.

To help you find the ideal break more easily, I’ve also added a handy availability tool for the Easter, Early May, and Spring Bank holidays, which you’ll find further down this email. We’ve also highlighted a few example options below to give you a taste of what’s available for Easter and Spring Bank, and to spark some inspiration for your next holiday on the Broads

Easter, Early May & Spring Bank Holiday Availability

There are three  "early" season public holidays to take advantage of. Easter in particular, is now selling well for Good Friday to Easter Monday breaks. Select a public holiday, how many people in your party and for how many nights you want to be away to list what's still available by date.

Boats for larger parties are now scarce

The number of boats capable of accommodating 9 or more people has decreased over the last few years.  As such there are now just 15 classes across the Broads capable of accommodating these larger parties.

If you're wanting to get the family together on a boating holiday, or are planning a stag or hen do, please consider booking sooner rather than later, as demand is likely to outstrip availability once again this summer. For a full list of which cruisers accommodate 9 or more people, please click the button.

Larger Boats

Holiday Availability 2026

You can check availability for any date across the boating season (usually between mid February and the end of October).

We have craft suitable for party sizes from 2 to groups of 12 people, in all sorts of shapes and sizes, at prices to suit most pockets.

Norfolk Broads Towns and Villages - Horning

The Swan Inn at Horning

Horning is located just 5 miles downriver from Wroxham on the river Bure. It will take you 10 minutes by car but a 1-hour 15-minute cruise by boat. That said, the journey is worth it. Horning is a picture postcard village complete with waterside homes, thatched cottages, and enough shops, bars, and restaurants to satisfy most needs. Approaching from Wroxham, you first notice the desirable cottages, many with accompanying boats before turning the bend opposite the Swan Inn, a black and white gabled hotel, bar, and restaurant. A little further along you pass the New Inn with its landscaped terraces ideal for viewing the passing traffic. Cruise a little further on and you pass the site of the Ferry Inn, a large family-orientated establishment, which effectively marks the end of the Horning "strip". All three establishments provide moorings for customers.

Local Attractions: Bewilderwood Family Adventure Park - closer to Wroxham but only a 5 min taxi ride from Horning. "Bewilderwood is a wild and imaginative adventure park with magical tree houses and a hint of intriguing characters, bringing a curious difference to the Norfolk Broads." RAF Air Defence Radar Museum - just over a mile from the Swan Inn end of Horning. A museum displaying the history of radar from the second world war to the present day. A bloodhound missile is also on display on the grounds of the museum.

Eating and Drinking: The Swan Inn is a bar/restaurant and hotel offering a wide range of food. The New Inn is midway along the Horning "strip". offering restaurant & bar food and occasional evening entertainment. The Ferry Inn is located just before the river leaves Horning. It has a large restaurant and bar serving food. Other Services: Post Office, General Stores, Delicatessen, Gift shops, Newsagents, Off License, The Bure River Cottage Restaurant, and The Staithe and Willow Restaurant are located on the road which runs adjacent to the river.

TIP: The walk along the road behind the river is delightful with thatched cottages and water meadows leading to the river.
