After having worked in the travel industry since leaving school in 1970, I launched in 2008 with a mission to make the task of booking a Norfolk Broads boating holiday easier. As a regular Broads hire fleet boater since 1973, I recognised that there was very little assistance for the first-time cruiser whether from the large boating agencies or from the hire boatyards and set about putting together a website which hopefully de-mystified and enlightened the decision making process.

We are agents for Hoseasons and are paid a small commission for referring you to their holidays should you go on to make a booking. There is no fee or hidden charge for making use of our website and prices quoted on the Hoseasons booking site are the same as if you had booked with them direct. Furthermore, they are so confident that they have the best prices, in the unlikely event that you find the same boat (like for like), available on the same day you make your booking, for the same dates but at a lower price, we will only charge you the lower price. (more details here - look for "Lowest price Guarantee")

We have never set foot on a hire boat before. How do we know which boat is right for us?

We independently rate each boat from budget to standard to superior together with pointing out which craft are less than 3 years old.

Can we compare boats against each other to see which offers the best value?

Our boat search page will offer cruisers according to your specifications. Select a boat and the similar boat button will come up with alternative craft of the same design, so you can compare onboard facilities against price.

How far can we travel, where do we moor and what is there to do when we get there?

We have put together a comprehensive directory of suggested itineraries, a distance and travel time calculator, together with 40 maps of Broadland towns and villages detailing where to moor, nearby pubs, restaurants, shops and other amenities all linked from our home page.

We feel we have covered all of the questions you are likely to ask within the pages of this website and if we can help you make the right choice for your first boating holiday, you are likely to want to return as a regular in future years.
