Review of the Norfolk Broads boat Ultimate Gem

Positives: A spacious cruiser that's ideal for larger groups, offering both comfort and convenience on the water. The boat features a forward-drive helm with a sliding sunroof, allowing natural light to pour into the saloon area. Accommodation includes a mix of double and twin cabins, some with additional beds-perfect for flexible sleeping arrangements. With access doors at both the front and rear, access is easy and efficient. The seated forward well provides a great spot for fishing or simply soaking up the sun as you glide along the river. A microwave and 240 volt electrics come as standard for added ease during your stay.

Negatives: Ultimate Gem is a long boat, without bow thrusters. That will make it difficult to slot into a mooring, though with plenty of crew onboard, all hands on deck will help! It's one of Richardson's older boats, so fittings won't be modern though should be adequate. Just two WC/shower rooms could cause queues on a morning with a full complement of crew.
